A Reflection Through Music

This Remembrance themed recital was a beautiful evening of tribute, love, and hope! Our performers, Wenwen Du, Catherine Thornsley and Bo Peng graciously welcomed a standing ovation and flowers from audience members. It was such a special evening and we were so lucky to be able to share it with all of you! The program beautifully collected feelings of remembrance from personal stories about the impact of war to the performance of some of Schubert and Strauss' most loved pieces to Saint-Saëns "The Swan", Rachmaninoff's "Vocalise" and ending with a few war tunes including "The White Cliffs of Dover" and "I'll be seeing you". Thank you to everyone who joined us!

A Reflection Through Music in your words...

"My sincerest congratulations and appreciation for creating this meaningful and moving performance! I knew from the beginning that it would be well-programmed and performed. And yet it brought more than I expected."

"The musical part was so beautifully chosen, segmented and performed!!! And you, my dear Wenwen, together with Catherine, once again showed your masterly skills not only in fantastic piano playing and beautiful and deeply interpreted singing, but also control over the entire musical performance. Bravo!!!"

"The inclusion of subtitles and above all the story of the true family history, so movingly described by Lynol and enriched with real images, brought closer the reality and tragedy of those times and evoked deep emotions. Priceless!"
