Join us for this recital of remembrance featuring our very own Artistic Director and Pianist, Wenwen Du, alongside two of our Artists-in-Residence; Cellist, Bo Peng and Soprano, Catherine Thornsley. We are pleased to present this recital on Saturday November 16th at 7:30pm in the Nebula Performance Hall. In dedication to Remembrance Day the program will feature moving performances exploring themes of remembrance, love, and loss through a curated selection of art songs and classic war songs that resonate deeply with the human experience.

It was a wonderfully spooky and fun night! All of our performers brought the magic of the evening from the mysteriously haunting Schubert set to the wildly fun witch scenes! The costumes from everyone, from the performers to the audience members, were fantastic! It was certainly Wenwen's first time playing an entire concert in full Vampire attire from head to toe. It was a fantastic way to welcome two of our newest Artists-in-Residence, Tamar Simon and Geoffrey Schellenberg, to the Nebula stage!

Our recent masterclass on October 19th with Professor Nancy Hermiston was a great success! Our participants and audience members learnt so much from Mrs.Hermiston and got some beautiful insight to the life of an opera singer. A heartfelt thank you to all the participants, parents, teachers, and music enthusiasts who joined us for this masterclass!

Join Nebula Performances and City Opera Vancouver in welcoming Canadian mezzo-soprano Catherine Daniel! Originally from Edmonton, Catherine Daniel is a dynamic performer whose training and performances have taken her across North America and Europe.
The Masterclass Series will run in one afternoon session (beginning at 3pm) with a Q&A portion at the end of the masterclass on November 29 2024 in the Nebula Performances Hall. Participants will be given a 30 minute slot to work one-on-one with Catherine in front of a live audience.
