We are so grateful for the immense support and enthusiasm brought by all of our audience members. The hall was alive with so much energy and enthusiasm!

We have truly enjoyed sharing the entire process of this production with each and every one of you.
This gripping adaptation by Peter Brook condenses Bizet’s original Carmen into a tightly-focused and intense production, highlighting the work’s most powerful and dramatic elements. Set in a contemporary urban high school, this production speaks directly to a new generation while remaining accessible to audiences of all backgrounds.
Stage Director David Walsh is a passionate believer in the power of opera to transform our
hearts and minds. The production is updated to current times and is designed explicitly to
place ‘Carmen’ within the framework of real social issues we face today.
We were so excited to welcome Trevor Ainsworth into Nebula Performances for his very first opera experience and even more excited by his comments about it!
"The tone was hushed as the show commenced, and in mere seconds, I was left speechless at the level of passion and professionalism taking place on the stage. The entire cast was obviously committed to delivering their best, and it showed right away. The excitement brimming from them all was so contagious, I found myself spellbound. Directed by the masterful David Walsh, this opera took on a modern twist that made me feel the pulse of the story, while stepping boldly forward into today's world of cellphones and social media. A seamless blend of today and yesterday."
We are so excited for our final two performances and can't wait to welcome audiences to our venue to experience this night together.
