University Prep: Mock Auditions

In early January we hosted our first mock audition session which was a great success! We welcomed Richard Epp as a special guest and our artist in residence Katie Fraser as the panelists. These mock auditions helped to prepare singers for their upcoming university auditions, allowing the opportunity to sing through their entire audition repertoire, receive helpful feedback and the chance to shake off some of those nerves! The singers came out of their mock auditions feeling confident and ready to go for their university auditions!

Sing Snack Social

We hosted two Sing Snack Social Workshops in January led by two of our Artists-in-Residence, Tamar Simon and Geoffrey Schellenberg. These workshops are always such fun! In this casual settings we all get to learn more about our voices, the chance to perform in a low stakes environment, make new friends in the music world and of course, enjoy some good snacks! These socials are always blast and we are always looking forward to the next one! Make sure to follow us on Instagram to stay up to date on all the events and workshops happening at Nebula Performances and sometimes you can even enter giveaways for free tickets to some events!

Wenwen tours China with Ian Bostridge

Our artistic director Wenwen Du is currently in China for a set of performances of Schubert's "Winter Journey" with renowned tenor Ian Bostridge. Our president Alice Chee and Lynol Amero have joined Wenwen in China as well to see her performances with Ian. Wenwen and Ian have had great reception from their audiences and have received a few raving reviews, including one that notes how Wenwen "uses the most subtle expressions to express the most profound emotions". We are so pleased to hear the success of their concerts so far and we can't wait to hear all about it when Wenwen returns back to Nebula in the coming weeks!
