

Nebula Pianist Programme
The Nebula Pianist Programme is dedicated to training and inspiring pianists as both soloists and collaborative artists. Led by our Artistic Director, Wenwen Du, the program offers regular coaching, workshops, masterclasses, and performance opportunities, fostering artistic growth and professional connections.

Yanis Hong
Yanis Hong is a pianist recognized for her artistry and technical mastery across Europe, Asia, and North America. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of British Columbia, where she studied under Steinway artists Mark Anderson and David Fung. Her accolades include top prizes at prestigious competitions such as the EMA Berlin, London International, and Kyoto International Piano Competitions. As both a collaborative and solo pianist, Yanis has been featured in multiple concerts at Nebula Performances, where her expressive interpretations and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences. Deeply passionate about music education, Yanis dedicates significant energy to teaching, sharing her knowledge and fostering musical growth in students of all levels.

Alicja Rokita
Alicja Rokita is a classical pianist and chamber musician who began her musical journey at the age of four in Warsaw, Poland. She later continued her studies in Canada at the Vancouver Academy of Music under the guidance of Prof. Lee Kum Sing and Ian Parker, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. Alicja has performed across Poland, England, and Italy, and was featured at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s “Day of Music” as a representative of the Vancouver Chopin Society. Joining Nebula makes me feel truly fulfilled - being part of a community of such talented and inspiring musicians means so much to me. I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity and excited for everything that’s ahead!

Gabriel Moss
Gabe’s mentorship with Pianist Wenwen Du ultimately led him to be accepted at The Schulich School of Music at McGill University. At McGill, his current studies with Professor Stéphane Lemelin deepened his artistic expression and refined his technique. He also worked closely with Professor Sara Laimon, further expanding his interpretative range. During his time at McGill, Gabriel has performed in a wide variety of settings, from solo recitals and chamber ensembles to major concert events. He has accompanied McGill choirs from 2023 to 2025 and participated as the pianist for the Nebula Performances International Vocal Workshop in 2024. His work as a collaborative pianist and performer includes numerous appearances in recitals, competitions, and masterclasses alongside his peers.

Jeremy Laity
Jeremy began piano lessons at age four and has since performed in many solo, collaborative, and chamber settings, including a television appearance as a hand in ABC’s Dead of Summer. He currently runs a small teaching studio in Maple Ridge and has enjoyed being part of Nebula’s pianist program this year. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of British Columbia an ARCT in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music and is grateful to have studied under many wonderful teachers including Miranda Wong, Rena Sharon, Jane Hayes, and Anna Levy.

Bella Hong
Bella Hong is a collaborative pianist based in Vancouver. She studied under Professor Lee Kum Sing at the Vancouver Academy of Music, where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree. Bella has participated in international music festivals in Europe and North America, and has worked with singers, instrumentalists, and choirs. She is excited to be a member of the Nebula Pianist Programme. Known for her sensitivity and versatility, she enjoys creating meaningful musical partnerships through performance and rehearsal.
